— As Wike Rally Support For President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sim Fubara
Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Dr Chidi Lloyd on Friday joined members of the Rivers State chapter of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) on a courtesy visit to the immediate past Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike at his country home in Obio-Akpor LGA.
The Mayor of Port Harcourt and Chairman of ALGON in Rivers State, Hon Allwell Ihunda who spoke on behalf of Rivers ALGON, said the 23 council chairmen in Rivers State were at the former governor’s residence to appreciate him for his outstanding leadership and achievements. At the same time, he served as Governor of Rivers State.
The ALGON chairman used the occasion to reaffirm the loyalty and commitment of the 23 local government council chairmen in Rivers State to the direction of the immediate past Governor of Rivers State.
Former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, thanked the local government chairmen for their support during his tenure as Governor of Rivers State and urged them to continue to use their positions to advance their respective local government areas and Rivers State in general.
The Ex-Governor while acknowledging the contribution of the local government council chairmen to the success of his administration, urged them to extend the same loyalty and support to his successor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara to enable him to consolidate the achievements of the immediate past administration in the State
Chief Nyesom Wike also urged the council chairmen to support the Bola Tinibu-led Federal Government, describing the President as a friend and supporter of Rivers State.
